FixWin 10 is a free and portable tool to get rid of common problems of Windows 10. For Windows 8.1, FixWin 2.2 is available. For Windows 10, we’ve updated the tool to support many Windows 10 fixes such as Start Menu not working, Wi-fi not working etc. FixWin 10 now supports an updated user interface similar to our Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.
FixWin 10 has fixes categorized in following tabs: Welcome, File Explorer, Internet & Connectivity, Windows 10, System Tools, Troubleshooters and Additional Fixes. Welcome page is the default and show some basic System Specs along with 3 universal fixes i.e. System file checker utility, Re-register Store apps and Repair System Image using DISM. File Explorer tab provides general fixes for problems related to File Explorer interface and desktop like Recycle Bin doesn’t refresh etc. Internet & Connectivity tab solves the issues while user connects with Internet like Repair Winsock, Reset Windows Firewall etc.
Windows 10 section is a new addition here which is designed specifically for Windows 10. You can fix Windows 10’s problems like Start Menu don’t open, Settings app doesn’t launch, various store problems etc. System Tools section has a new addition which is “Advanced System Information” which shows some deep information related to processor and memory.
A really useful feature of FixWin 10 is that every Fix has “?” button in front of them. Clicking on this button will show how to perform the fix manually. In case FixWin 10 fails to fix the problem, you can try manual steps.
