How To Customize Start Screen View?

Windows 8 provides many options to customize various features like logon screen, lock screen etc. Windows 8 also provides customization options for the new Start Screen. We can resize tiles, move tiles, delete and even add new tiles. But If we have to change the back color and other views of Windows, what should we do? In this post, we are going to share a simple tip provided in Windows 8.

To change the view or look of the start screen, follow these steps:
1. Open Charm Bar by hovering mouse over the top-right corner or bottom-right corner.


2. After opening the charm bar, click ‘Settings‘ option. A sidebar will appear.
3. In the sidebar’s bottom-right side, click ‘More PC Settings‘. A Metro Control Panel will appear.

4. On its left, click ‘Personalize‘ if not selected. Then from the right, choose ‘Start Screen‘.
5. The layout of Start Screen will appear.
6. Select the background view from the options given under ‘Choose a background‘ label.
7. To change the back color, move the slider given under ‘Change background color‘ label.
8. That’s it! You have customized your Start Screen’s look.
