Windows 8.1 Will Release Digitally On October 17, ISO Files On October 18

Here comes the official announcement! Windows 8.1 to be digitally released on October 17 (via Windows Store) and ISO files will be available on October 18. Microsoft today made this official announcement about Windows 8.1 Release date. Microsoft announced that existing Windows 8 users will receive an update via Windows Store worldwide to upgrade to Windows 8.1. Microsoft is providing Windows 8.1 as a free upgrade to existing Windows 8 users for fixing the issues present in Windows 8. For those, who want to download Windows 8.1 as an ISO file, you will have to wait one more day. ISO files will be available on October 18.
Microsoft also announced that some new Windows 8.1 devices are also going to release on the same day i.e October 18. For those who don’t know about Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 brings a number of improvements over Windows 8. Windows 8.1 brings back the Start Button but that simply redirects user to Start Screen. Windows 8.1 will introduce two new tile sizes for Start Screen tiles. It also includes deep Skydrive integration, improvements in snap view, Internet Explorer 11, Redesigned and improved PC Settings, Bing Powered powerful system search, Boot to desktop option etc. and much much more!
